Samantha Hernandez, M.A, LPCC

Welcome! I am a licensed counselor serving women (18-55) in New Mexico with online teletherapy. I specialize in Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Stress and Women’s Issues. My therapy approach can be described as solution focused and goal-oriented. I am easy-going, gentle but direct, and it is my priority to create a safe space that promotes growth and positive changes for you.

My Approach

As a Latina, counseling was never a part of my upbringing. I went through so much alone and now my passion is to be there for women like me who just need help & support.

I take from my Latinx culture (nutrition, herbs, supplements, nature, allies in community) and combine it with comprehensive therapy approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy, trauma-informed therapy, and somatic therapy. My work focuses on mental health with nutrition, sleep, and bodywork.

We will address the mind, body, and soul as part of holistic wellness. Everything is interconnected; a change in one area can help you overall.

More About Me (Sam):

I have lived in southern NM all my life, from Las Cruces, NM to Sunland Park, NM and right on the edge of TX. I am 31yo, have been married 11 years, and I’m childless by choice. I have 2 furbabies. Nature heals me and I often escape to the forests, lakes, and rivers when I can. I have been in practice for nearly 6 years and went into private practice this past year. My own challenges that you may relate to: infertility, Endometriosis, PCOS, hormonal imbalance, trauma, and a cancer scare.
